Thinking Big

Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbours, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

The Rotary Club of Manningham City is part of a global network of 35,000+ clubs in over 180 countries around the world.  Aside from our local community projects, we also believe that we have a shared responsibility to take action on our world’s most persistent issues.  We work with sister clubs on international projects to:

  • Promote peace
  • Fight disease
  • Provide clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
  • Save mothers and children
  • Support education
  • Grow local economies

Did you know that Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for more than 30 years?  Our goal of ridding the world of this disease is closer than ever.

As a founding partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, we've reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent since our first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979.

We've helped immunize more than 2.5 billion children in 122 countries. So far, Rotary has contributed more than $1.8 billion toward eradicating the disease worldwide.

Do you have a big project that you would like to get going?

Here's an example of how we leverage the power of the Rotary Network to have global impact.
