The Primary Schools speech competition is an opportunity for representatives from local primary schools to display their skill as public speakers. Year 5 and 6 students complete fro prizes courtesy of Bendigo Bank by giving a 3 minute speech on a topic selected from a range of suggestions. The speakers are judged by Toastmasters judges. The event is attended by club members, students, teachers and local government, civic and district representatives and sponsors, notably Bendigo Bank.
Who participates?
Students from local primary schools. The audience is parents, teachers, club members and civic, Rotary representatives and sponsors.
Where?
At the hall of one of the local Primary Schools.
When?
Wednesday during school term in June, July and November (District finals).
How can members help?
Join the organising Committee, assist on the day with setup, timekeeping, ushering etc.
