The Club’s Charity Fundraising Golf Day, hosted at the outstanding Heritage Golf & Country Club in Wonga Park, is on Friday, 20th March. Funds from this year’s Golf Day and the $35,000 raised in 2025 will be used as seed capital for a Rotary International Global Grant. The goal is to secure $174,000 to purchase equipment for the Biomedicine Discovery Institute at Monash University, supporting improved treatment for advanced prostate cancer surgery patients.
Club members and friends are encouraged to participate either as players or simply by joining for the buffet lunch and presentation. Our guest speaker, Brett Ogle, is a 14-time winner on the world professional golf tour and is renowned for his entertaining presentations. While lunch is typically priced at $60, members and friends can enjoy it for only $40.
Contributions in the form of prize donations or sponsorships are highly valued and will further enhance our fundraising efforts for the day. These generous offerings play a significant role in supporting the event’s mission and help us maximize the impact of our charitable activities. By providing prizes or sponsoring aspects of the Golf Day, you directly contribute to raising essential funds for prostate cancer research and treatment, ensuring that our community efforts make a meaningful difference.
Volunteering Opportunities
We are seeking two or three volunteers to sit by the $10,000 Hole-in-One green and witness any Holes-in-One that might occur. Volunteers will be provided with lunch free of charge.
