The All Abilities Disco was held on Saturday, 25 July 2026. It was well attended and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who came. The theme was Christmas in July.
Saturday was also eventful for Esther as part of her home ceiling collapsed. Fortunately by the Grace of God, no one was under the collapsed area and no injuries occurred. Esther is now wearing a hard hat at home and getting some repairs done.
The RMC Board met on Monday night. One of the major topics discussed was child protection and the need for all members to ensure their Working with Children Check is current and up to date. If you haven't had the chance to get your free volunteer WWC, the link takes you to the site -
In sad news, there were two funerals this week for former Rotarians: Norm McLeod, a former member of the Rotary Club of Doncaster, and Brian Atherton, a former member of the Rotary Club of Templestowe. Quite a few members from our club attended the services to pay their respects.
Our Rotary meeting this week was held at the Doncaster Greek Tavern. It was a most enjoyable evening of great food, fun and fellowship, with plenty of opportunity to catch up with one another.
Coming up this weekend, on Saturday, 1 August, is our Bunnings BBQ. Yes—we'll be cooking and selling snags once again!

Also a big thank you to Marilyn Benny and Fatima Nasser. Two vey committed young ladies Jessica and Sophia, helped in setting up and managed the Entrance and Security. A Rotarian for almost 35 years (including 10 years in Rotaract), Emma is a member of the Rotary Club of Emerald. Her priorities for the year focus on strengthening clubs, growing community connections, supporting mental health research, promoting peace and family violence prevention, and ensuring Rotary continues to make a meaningful difference for generations to come. We look forward to hearing from Emma.
